Dahari is the largest NGO in the Comoros, created in 2013 to support rural communities in restoring forests, agroforests, and marine ecosystems. Based on the islands of Anjouan and Grande Comore, its programmes work with farmers to protect forests and improve agroforestry, while supporting fishers to establish community-led no-take zones. With a team of 60 staff and over 15 years of experience, Dahari is scaling up its efforts to safeguard biodiversity, food security, and community resilience across the Comoros.
