Centre for Youth and Children’s Affairs (CEYCA) was founded on 15th August 1995 in Malawi by three Malawians. It is a not-for-profit-making national non-governmental organisation founded and existing in Malawi.
Legal Status: CEYCA got legally registered on 27th February 1997, with the Registrar General under the Trustees Incorporation Act of 1962. Again CEYCA registered in 2004 under the newly introduced NGO Board Act of 2001. It is affiliated to the Council for Non-Governmental Organisations (CONGOMA), and National Youth Council of Malawi.
CEYCA aims to promote and protect the rights of the child and youth, and women, in Malawi through empowerment to actively participate in the socio-economic and political development of the Malawian society.
MISSION STATEMENT: CEYCA is an NGO that exists to promote human rights and active participation of children and young people, and women through advocacy, facilitation, networking, research, education and training in Malawi. MAJOR PROGRAMME THEMES:
