Centre for Collective Learning and Action (CECLA) is a non-partisan organisation ;s formed and registered in 2005 under the Bongo District Assembly.

CECLA’s mission is to solicit, encourage, and advance the socio-economic well-being of mankind (targeting the vulnerable) in society with the view of enhancing women’s participation in socio-economic activities, while advocating for social justice in society.

The vision of CECLA is to be recognized globally as the leading advocate and integrated service provider to promote social justice and economic development

CECLA, in its development work, adheres to well laid down principles which lead to the fruition of the entire work of the organization. CECLA therefore sees to it that its partners/donors as well as the people it provides assistance to follow these principles to the latter.

Management & Staff

CECLA is managed by a 5-man committee comprising the:Executive DirectorSenior Programme officer, Gender and advocacy expert, Finance and administrative officer and a Project officer. CECLA also works with 60 trained community volunteers in the District

Board of Directors

CECLA’s has a Board of Directors which are chosen from individuals with considerable expertise and experience in both government and private organisations. The Board is in charge of the development of policies and also function in an advisory position. The Board has ultimate responsibility for CECLA’s financial performance, mission fulfillment, development and future direction.

CECLA is currently implementing a Social Cohesion project aimed at promoting peaceful coexistence between fulbes herdsmen and indigenous people in Bongo District

With funding from Ghana Skills Development Fund, CECLA is empowering 200 unemployed young women in livelihoods through training.
