Capacity Africa Institute was established in Kenya in 1999 The organization was formed to address capacity building needs among development organizations in Africa.

One of the key reasons why there  is no meaningful development in Africa is is the lack of capacity by  communities  to implement sustainable programmes. Capacity Africa Institute values the communities we work in as engines and classrooms for knowledge dissemination. Through our training arm, we deliver training programmes to civil servants, development workers and young people. Our training techniques ensure that knowledge dissemination is a continuous process, from the young to the old, from school going young adults to professionals.
