ASUCO ASBL (Association Ugeuzi/Congo Change) is a community-based organization founded in 2016 in the Eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo, in response to humanitarian crises and armed conflict.
The organization works to promote social transformation by empowering individuals and communities to become active agents of change. Its core programs focus on education and child protection, women’s empowerment, and entrepreneurship and skills development.
ASUCO supports vulnerable children, youth, and women through community-based initiatives that strengthen access to education, improve protection mechanisms, and enhance economic resilience. The organization also promotes local leadership, particularly among women and young people, to foster inclusive participation in decision-making processes.
In fragile and conflict-affected settings, ASUCO contributes to building safer communities by combining protection approaches, livelihood support, and social cohesion efforts.
Through its work, ASUCO aims to build a society where every individual can fully exercise their rights and contribute positively to their community.
