Justice Centre Hong Kong is a non-profit organisation focused on the promotion of refugee protection through our legal, psychosocial and research work, as well as community initiatives.

Presence in: Hong Kong SAR
Focus: Education, Gender-based violence, Labor & Employment, Legal Aid & Public Interest Law, Policy Advocacy, Refugees & Migrant Rights, Right to Information

Justice Centre Hong Kong began its work in 2007, when it was founded as the Hong Kong Refugee Advice Centre. More than a decade later, our team has helped thousands of refugees and other forced migrants access protection from the torture, persecution and other risks they faced.

We now provide tailored social welfare, psychological and legal support to over 300 forced migrants each year, while our community work widens our impact, moving beyond individual clients to enhance social cohesion and inclusiveness in the Hong Kong SAR.

We support:

  • Refugees
  • Asylum seekers
  • Victims of torture
  • Victims of human trafficking
  • Victims of forced labour

Individuals in these communities ask the Hong Kong Government to provide protection under Hong Kong law from the torture, persecution and other risks they face in their countries of origin and/or as a result of their migration.

Our team at Justice Centre carefully screens potential clients, and provide tailored support to women, children, LGBTIQA+ individuals, racial and ethnic minorities, stateless persons and other at risk migrant groups in need of protection under Hong Kong law.
