Act! is a leading Kenyan non-governmental organization who envisions “empowered citizens and communities living a productive life in dignity”.
We work to develop and strengthen communities and partners’ skills and abilities to address, respond to, adapt and thrive in a fast changing Kenyan context in order to achieve their development goals. Having implemented projects in all the 47 Counties in Kenya, we are familiar with the local context, circumstances and challenges unique to each of the Counties. This, coupled with the networks and partnerships – including with the National Government, as well as local administrations – established across Kenya places us in a unique position to address any programming challenges that may arise.
We have successfully managed many large-scale development programmes supported by various development partners including Royal Danish Embassy in Nairobi, Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA), United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Department for International Development (DFID), European Commission, Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development of Canada (DFATD), among others. Act! has well established financial management processes and procedures that are clearly set out in our financial manual.
