Hospice and Palliative Care Association of Zimbabwe (HOSPAZ) is a national membership umbrella body, registered as a private voluntary organisation (PVO 13/99). It has over 100 members who provide comprehensive HIV prevention, treatment, care and support services as well as palliative care in Zimbabwe. HOSPAZ mission is to promote palliative care and support palliative care providers through capacity building, mentorship, setting, recommending and monitoring standards of care, advocacy and lobbying and coordinating members’ activities. Governed by an autonomous Executive Board (all Zimbabwean citizens), HOSPAZ has highly competent program staff with extensive experience in various areas of programming; palliative care, HIV, TB, health promotion, comprehensive prevention, treatment, care and support, GBV issues, SRH, IEC material development, capacity development and household economic strengthening.
Programming Expertise and Management include: HIV programming, Youths and OVC, Gender Based Violence, Palliative Care, Health Systems Strengthening and Community Systems Strengthening, Providing legal services through partnership legal institutions and law firms, Experience Working with Partnerships, Material Development, Capacity Building, Monitoring Evaluation and Reporting (MER) and Finance and Grants Management
